The backrest is made of high-strength steel wrapped in high-grade upholstery with cushion-foam sandwiched in-between. This ensures a secure and comfortable restraining of the pillion in the event of sudden acceleration.
The backrest is shaped not only to complement the sophisticated looks of the Bajaj NS/AS 200, but also to be helpful in grabbing and moving the bike around in a parking space and to be a provision to grab and lift the heavy bike up in case of a fall.
